19 February: Judgement 1

“Judge not…”.

It's a biblical phrase that I've often quoted to myself.

Not from fear that I may be judged likewise, but more as a rebuke or reminder to myself.

To be more patient, tolerant, a nicer person to those (idiots) around me.

I find it hard not to judge - it may be a car driver, a politician with whom I don't agree, or someone with different values and priorities.

My judgement is quick, reactive, in the moment.

Then I tell myself I don't know their story, their background, what's going on in their life. I need more understanding to be more understanding.
