Travelling south

We needed a break and the sign said ‘Winery and Café’.

We turned off the main road and followed the directions.

Asked whether they had coffee. No sorry. Hot chocolate or any warm drinks? No, we are a WINERY, not a cafe. You can have a seat and a tasting, but the chef has had an accident. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. You can have an antipasto plate, to share if you like. Thank you, that sounds super. And you can share the wine tasting. This is perfect!

So a flight of three Rieslings, six glasses (thee each), each with 30ml of wine. That's three quarters of a glass each she said.

All the Rieslings were different but each was yummy. And the antipasto was generous.

Lark Hill Winery definitely gets the tick of approval.

Wined and dined and very replete we paid and travelled on.
